Georgian Bay Hunters and Anglers Junior Club>>
HELPING KIDS FIND THEIR PLACE IN THE OUTDOORS SINCE 2001
The focus of the club is for youth “to find their place in the outdoors”. In addition to conservation projects, the members are mentored in traditional outdoor activities such as archery, fishing, firearms & range safety, target shooting, hunting skills & knowledge, survival skills, wild game calling and shotgun shooting.
The Georgian Bay Hunters and Anglers Junior Club is based out of Midland and was established in 2001 with the goal of engaging youth in traditional outdoor activities and conservation projects within the community. Our members come not just from Midland, but all over Simcoe County. We have a membership cap of 45 members and we always have a waiting list of eager participants. Our membership consists of youth under the age of 21 years old. We usually host one event per month.
Our youth members have received a multitude of awards. It is their commitment to conservation and the outdoors. Conservation projects include annual tree planting, Pitch In projects, stream restoration, invasive species eradication, wood duck box building and follow up, building bird houses and bird feeders.
Please contact us if you are interested in joining our club.
